Giuseppe Bavuso, architect and designer whose projects merge the strictness of style, bordering on minimalist, with broad technical research, through knowledgeable use of technological and innovative materials. He lives and works in Seregno. His initial professional experience saw him working as a designer for a company active all around the world specialising in the creation of important works in various sectors, ranging from architecture to furniture for large common areas, to the design and creation of train and sleeping car interiors. Since 1986, through his own Product Design studio, he has been collaborating as a designer and consultant with companies in the furnishing and bio-medical equipment sectors. In 1990 in Köln (Germany) he won 1 st prize – “International Design Award” with his design for the padded “Pick Up” for Brunati. In 1994 in Milan (Italy) he won 1st prize – “Young & Design” for the “Siparium” sliding door system for Rimadesio. In 2000 in Harrow (GB) he was awarded 1st prize – “KBB Review New Year’s Honour-List For 2000 – for the bookshelf system and wardrobes by “Zenit” for Rimadesio. In 2005 he was selected by “Design Index” for the “Compasso d’Oro” competition with the “Graphis” system for Rimadesio. In 2008 he was selected by “Design Index” for the “Compasso d’Oro” competition with the interior “Vela” door for Rimadesio. In the furniture sector he collaborates with various companies in Italy and abroad as the designer and art director, including Pamar, completely dealing with products from their conception to engineering and visual communication. Furthermore, with the view of merging the design-communication-marketing stages of the product, he also deals with set design for trade fairs, as well as planning and organising exhibition stands and showrooms.
