Mario Mazzer was born in 1955. In 1978 he graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan and in 1979 obtained a Diploma in Industrial Design from the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan. Here, throughout the Seventies, he collaborated with masters of Italian design and in the Eighties opened his own studio in Conegliano Veneto, where he began developing an autonomous design style. He works in various sectors: Architecture, Interior Design and Industrial Design. He contributes to cultural debate on design through his participation in various conferences and exhibiting in museums and design exhibitions. He received a special mention in 1988 and 1989 in the “Young & Design” competition, which he won in 1991. He was selected in 1991 in Paris at the “Design et Mutations ” exhibition, at the biennial in Lubiana “Bio XIII, Bio XIV, Bio XV and Bio XVII”, in Genoa at “Tecnhotel” and in 1996 at the event “I Progettisti del Triveneto”. In 1987 in Budapest he participated in the “Italian Design Exhibition”, in 1990 in Milan at “30 Architetti” and in 1993 at “Rattan: La Natura è Mobile”. He took part on many occasions in the cultural exhibitions “Abitare il Tempo” in Verona and the “Design Museum” exhibitions in London. In 1996 he received a special, honourable mention in the American magazine “ID Annual Design Review”. In 1999 he tool part in the touring exhibition “Segnali di Cibo” and the relevant television broadcasts. He won the “International Grandesign Award” in the jewellery category and was mentioned during its 5th edition. His products were selected in the Adi Design Index and the International Design Yearbook. In 2001 a monograph was released, published by Biblioteca dell’Immagine entitled: “Thinking About Things” – Mario Mazzer designer. In Architecture, he develops new and renovation projects for residential buildings, commercial buildings and headquarters in Italy and abroad.
