Pamar Gem Collection

When a handle becomes a jewels, the collection designed by Alba Polenghi Lisca and Giorgio Vigna

Pamar Gem, an innovative, new and cultured interpretation of handles and knobs, precious and sought-after just like jewellery, arising from the thoughts and hands of two authentic masters, interpreters of contemporary gold artistry. Pamar’s production ability is also tested this time through production in series of a collection that expresses clear and marked elements of handcrafting. The metals are forged like the most precious ones: the zamak shaped, embossed, made irregular and rough on the surface. Enamels are applied like those on jewellery, in sought-after colours with unusual shine. New finishes are used that add value and originality to the collection, from white silver to  light pewter. For Pamar, design is pivotal to its enterprising identity, animating and determining its path, its curiosity and desire to test alternative roads for the last twenty years to offer the expressive possibility of a small object like furniture handles. Pamar Gem was presented in 2011 in Milan in Palazzo Crivelli, in Brera, a conventional and evocative location to represent the main Pamar collections.

The collection by Alba Polenghi Lisca

Alba Polenghi Lisca exults the language of shape by composing and contrasting finished and independent elements, also playing with the two-tone effect. “I made the geometry of my shapes fluid and animated them to make them three-dimensional, combining the decorative aesthetic with the ergonomic needs linked to project functionality”.

The collection by Giorgio Vigna

Giorgio Vigna leaves an organic, vital mark full of citations on decorative ceramics from the Forties and Fifties. ”Water, earth, fire, wind, shadow, light and transparency are pivotal elements of these collections, where the natural and artificial meet to create primary and elementary forms. Strong and natural, universal and timeless, shapes always rich in evocative worth".
